I use royal icing.
Wilton should have a good recipe.

2C conf sugar (I need to double check that)
1T melted butter
1t vanilla
2-3T milk
sift the sugar, add the liquid ingredients, anmd mix until smooth. I put it in a squeeze bottle

That is what I use as well.
There is usually a recipe in with the meringue powder.
