Nope. It is just the Ovidrel and Gonal-F pen. I am just overreacting.

Good luck! I always feel like the anticipation of the shots is way worse then the actual shot.

Re: Got my meds....and freaking out!!!
I remember being nervous before my first injectible cycle too. Totally normal. It IS intimidating. It is not everyday that people go around shooting up hormones. But i promise you, you will be fine. Like the many women before you, who freaked out as well, and then survived Ovidrel and the pen are the two teeniest tiny shots ever. You will barely feel a prick. If you prefer you can numb the spot before with a little ice, totally not needed, but maybe for the first time, mentally it will help. By the second or third shot you will be able to do it blind-folded !! pinky swear
Good luck to you !!!

Thanks for that, and I love the pinky swear, haven't heard that in awhile.
So, do I slowly insert the needle or stab myself with it? The nurse gave me a quick lesson and she advisedc me to do it quickly.

Re: Got my meds....and freaking out!!!
my first injectable cycle my DH did my injects. he told me to put on a winter hat and he pulled it over my eyes so i wouldnt have to watch!! it really didnt hurt much at all.
the next cycle i was staying at a friends house on day 1 of stims and i had to do it myself. it took about 10 minutes to gain the confidence, but once i did it was fine. and its been fine ever since!!
just ice the area before for 5 minutes or so directly with an ice cube. i swear you will barely feel a thing. FSH shots are NOTHING!!

An injectable cycle or an IVF cycle was pretty much the same thng for me. After you do the first shot you'll be a pro!

NOT slow. Quick is better. The gonal pen does take a second to dial down once you are in, but the initial insertion, should be quick and straight....no angles!
