Baked ziti or lasagna?

We do the huge feast of the 7+ fishes on Christmas Eve at my ILs. Christmas morning we do brunch at our house with everyone, and then dinner is just going to be me, DH, my parents and DS.

I want to make either baked ziti or lasagna. I also am planning to serve Italian sausage and homemade meatballs on the side with whatever I make. I have the ingredients for each but know sometimes lasagna doesn't come out that good because of the way the noodles turn out. What would you prefer?

Ok, its not one of the choices but for special occassions, I prefer stuffed shells or manicotti. Ok...I'm no help.Chat Icon

have you ever tried the oven ready lasagna? i made it for the first time last weekend and it actually came out the same! it also made the process 10x easier....

but i find baked ziti easier overall to make versus lasagna, you can't go wrong with either one..

Lasagna, but that's because I hate ziti.

how about lasagna roll ups.... easier than assembly lasagna and kinds like a shell/manicotti!

i mix ricotta, mozz, parsley, grated parm, crumbled brown italian sausage, black pepper, egg and then roll it into a lasagna noodle, put them all into a baking dish/lasagna pan, top (and bottom!) with sauce! Easier to serve than lasagna too!
