Florida getaway

SOrry guys- no fiji I wish...

Anyway- We are going during Feb break for the week to Delray Beach to visit my IL's with the kids.. She has offered that we can take 2 nights to ourselves.
Any suggestions out there that is close that we can do other than Miami?

She told us she found a 2 day cruise in the newspaper to look at to the Bahamas. I looked at cruise critic and the reviews not stellar.... The major cruise lines don't work for us timing wise... Would you even consider this jjust to get away?

ANy place else???

My friends did that 2 day cruise. I think it was on Celebration. Mehhhh, they didnt really care for it. It's really cheap though.

You can always take the high speed ferry to Nassau too, if you dont want to do a cruise.

I live near West Palm beach. If they are willing to keep your children for 2 days, I would recommend getting a room either at the Ritz Carlton in Manalapan, or Ft. Lauderdale. Both are amazing. The rooms, the service were impeccable. You are right on the beach for both, but I did prefer the Manalapan location. Plus you are close to Delray, if there was an emergency.

Def go to the Sundy house for brunch too. Or you can always to go the Hard Rock Seminole Casino for a day too.

Re: Florida getaway

I would drive to either Miami or Key West for a couple of days. I just went to Key West last summer and LOVED it!

Re: Florida getaway

Thanks for all the suggestions. After much research we just booked 2 days at the FountainBleau in Miami Beach. We are so excited. My husband has always wanted to go there because James bond filmed Goldfinger there... It just had a 1 billion dollar renovation and it looks spectacular. We got a deluxe room with balcony.

I cannot wait to veg for 2 days with no children. We also will be doing stuff at the spa and there are amazing restaurants....

I think that's a GREAT idea! I think you'll have a blast.. That hotel is GORGE and you can walk around and get drinks locally without having to drive.. ;)Chat Icon
