What do you normally have for breakfast/lunch?
I need ideas for healthy, low-fat breakfasts and lunches. For work, I normally bring breakfast but order lunch. I started bringing Chobani yogurts for breakfast or today I made an egg white on a whole wheat bagel with tomato and light mayo...but I dont know how low-fat that really is.
Please share some ideas of what you normally make/order for breakfast and lunch each day.

Re: What do you normally have for breakfast/lunch?
When I eat like I should (which I am not at the moment), breakfast is either greek yogurt w/berries and low sugar oatmeal, or egg whites and 1 slice of 100% whole wheat or multigrain toast.
For lunch, salad w/ protein (chicken or turkey or fish) with a variety of veg, or some kind of low carb wrap or sandwich. On the wrap, I use hummus or instead of mayo. Mayo is no good, and the low fat is all chemicals, not good for ya.
For me, I have to eat the same thing everyday so I know what I'm going to eat. If I have to think about, then that leaves room to make the wrong choices.

Re: What do you normally have for breakfast/lunch?
eggwhite, oatmeal, whole wheat (homemade) pancakes
mind you everything i eat is plain.
for lunch i usually have leftovers or i make chicken salad: boil 2 chicken breast (chop them in food processor), use cottage cheese instead of mayo, and add mustard for some taste. i also throw in chopped crazins (beware they are high in sugar so dont use too many), chopped walnuts, as well as a finely chopped green apple! its so delish the chicken salad typically lasts a week between dh and i, so i make it once a month.

Ohhh I like that! I hate mayo and avoid chicken salad for that reason, but I LOVE cottage cheese! thanks.

Re: What do you normally have for breakfast/lunch?
3 egg whites with red pepper and onion
3 egg whites with reduced fat cheese
3 egg whites with sliced tomato
Multigrain Cherrios with fat free milk
Luna bar (vanilla almond or nutz over chocolate)
Wheat toast with smart balance and a piece of fruit
Salad with fresh veggies, broccoli, cauliflower, cucumber, tomatoes, onion etc with balsamic
Hummus and veggies/crackers
Breakfast and lunch are very light for me because I snack in between.

Re: What do you normally have for breakfast/lunch?
Breakfast: eggwhites with chopped onions and spinach on a whole wheat tortilla. fruit on the side
Sometimes oatmeal with blueberries or strawberries in it
If I'm racing and need my carbs/protein I'll have a whole wheat bagel flat with PB.
Lunch:
Veggie burger, grilled chicken wrap, salad

Most of the time I will have a package of instant oatmeal/farina and a piece of fruit.

Re: What do you normally have for breakfast/lunch?
Breakfast for me is usually a light english muffin with lowfat laughing cow cheese, and a cup of coffee.
Lunch, during warmer weather, is almost always a salad with tofu, tuna or beans for protein, just balsamic vinager without any oil for dressing.
Now that it's cold, my lunch is usually a cup of soup, which I usually make sure has either beans or tofu, with a small roll.

this sounds so delicious. But - for the working girls - when are you cooking this? I am a SAHM and hate being bothered with having to cook something up or chop veggies in the morning. BUt whenever I do, it keeps me full all morning.

I pre-chop my veggies. So I haev a little ziplock baggie of onions that I use for the week to put in my omlet. As I make my omlet do a few little things around the kitchen (ex: pack my lunch for work or dishes) always checking back to see when it needs to be flipped. I've perfected the art of multitasking!
