Re: Lets talk derm
I had botox done but I had a bad reaction from it. I did not notice a difference until a couple of weeks after I got it done.
I might get juvederm done in the future but I need to find a new doctor since I had a bad experience with the office staff at my old one.

Re: Lets talk derm
I used to get botox every 3 months. I miss it!! I stopped getting it when we started TTC #1, then I was pg, then BFing and I couldn't get it done. Now we are TTC #2 so I still can't get it done. I have very strong muscles so I always needed a lot of (driving the cost up). I would get my forehead, crows feet and bunny lines done. Cant' wait till I can do it again!

you are a good resource. I have the a between the eyes worry line that most bothers me. then the bags under the eyes but I have dark circles that are hereditary too that I would love to do something with. Everything else I can live with (I think)
I just seem to look tired and stressed and want to freshen my look.
what's bunny lines? I wonder if I have them.

Re: Lets talk derm
I have had 3 botox treatments so far, I can go 4-5 months between treatments. I love it, it actually helps w/my headaches because I normally squint a lot and this makes it so that I don't do it as much. I saw results in like 3 days. I get it on my forehead and the area between my eyebrows above my nose. I used to have long lines along my forehead which where gone w/in a wk or so. I will keep getting treatments. I have also had juvederm but not as a line filler, I have it in my lips. The first time I had it done it did hurt a bit but the next time we left the topical on longer and I didn't feel a thing. Good luck, make sure you go to a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon or Dermatologist. There are many Dr's out there peddling injectables that are not board certified. Dont assume they are... ask and see proof.

I have the between the eyes ones as well. The doctors I have seen will include that area with the forehead line (price wise, since some docs charge by area as well as cc's). The bunny lines are located on the sides of your nose. When you scrunch up your nose you can see where they would form.
I definitely think it's a way to freshen your look. I have very deep lines from sun damage and inherited from my parents and it really makes a difference. It takes about a week to take full affect. I agree with a PP, you should definitely make sure they are board certified.

Re: Lets talk derm
I work in a plastic surgeon's office, and I LOVE LOVE LOVE my botox, and juvaderm. I discovered juvaderm when I had a severe skin cancer removed two years ago... it was on my cheek and a lot of tissue was removed. As a result, I had a "defect" in my cheek, and found that juvaderm filled that defect. Now, I use juvaderm every three months to repair the defect.
There are many other products on the market, longer lasting fillers... scupltra, etc. I always liked juvaderm, so I just stick with it.
FM me if you have any questions.
I use the botox to lift the eyes a bit... he puts the injection towards the temples, and it brings the eye up slightly.

Re: Lets talk derm
Ok, now I have a derm but I'm not 100% thrilled with the office.
Can you ladies recommend?
I just got my gift from my boss!
