Why is my baked ziti dry?
Maybe I need more sauce...I feel like my baked ziti NEVER comes out that good I might need to work on my ratios...It should be SO simple to make, but I never LOVE mine when its done

more sauce in the mix and sauce on top after you put the mozz, especially if you don't cook or only par cook your ziti.

Def more sauce and also I don't know if you do this already but cover in foil while in the oven...that works for me

This. Also, sometimes it depends on the ricotta. I bought the small container the other day and it was dryer than I'm used to. It didn't spread as easily either. It tasted fine and it didn't expire, but it wasn't soft enough. Lack of moisture I guess. So, that could be a factor too.

I bought Bel Gioso ricotta once and it was VERY dry...I usually buy PollyO...I think I need more sauce, I usually use 1 jar, maybe I need 1/2 of another...And I will try the foil too.

I use quite a bit of sauce and only Polly-O Ricotta.

Re: Why is my baked ziti dry?
Definately need more sauce - try the non-stick foil so the cheese doesn't stick to the top
