Today's retrieval
Didn't go so well. I did have two good size follicles but they were empty. I was well prepared for this news but still feel pretty cr@ppy.
Everyone at AFS was super nice and Dr. B. wants me to try again next cycle. I guess I have come this far so I may as well keep going. One way or the other we will have a baby

Thanks for the kind words. I'm so tired from the anesthetic and not sleeping well the last few nights. I don't know how women do this multiple times

So sorry to hear this. I just wanted to say that you might want to look into whether or not it was the trigger...or rather the trigger not working properly which caused the empty follicles. This is common with empty follicle syndrome. The fix is to check to make sure the trigger worked the first time and if not, trigger again...I know that this has happened to a couple of people...of course...there could be other reasons too.

Thanks. I do understand the misnomer of "empty follicle syndrome" but either way, it more than likely means that my eggs were of bad quality or chromosomally abnormal.
Hopefully they can do something the next time to make sure that this doesn't happen again.

I'm really sorry to hear about this, especially after all of the stress and prep that goes into each cycle.. not even really getting to go through with it sux!
Luckily Dr. B is awesome and I pray that the next time around will work!!!
