Creme-filled Cupcakes

I have a recipe I want to try out for creme filled cupcakes but they've got me a little nervous. I have all the proper tools, but I'm afraid I'm going to explode my cupcakes or they're just gonna look crappy.

Is it that hard to fill a cupcake with creme? Any tips? All the recipes I've seen just say stick the decorating tip in the middle of the cupcake and squeeze and bring the bag up. Is that really all?! Chat Icon Thanks everyone!

As far as I know .. yes - you'll see the cupcake swelling .. just dont let it get too fat or it will break open.

This is how I made them - don't know if it's right - I improvised...

It's a terrible drawing but it's hard to explain in type. Easier to draw it out.

Thank you for the drawing!! I love it!! And that's another thing I was worried about- it having a depression in it from the opening that I put the filling in since I'm covering them with chocolate ganache. I didn't think of cutting it out first and then putting the top back on.

I used the same method (the cone method) and it was super easy and they looked fabulous since the frosting covers the seam.

Awesome! Thank you! I think I'm going to try the cone method and then try some from the bottom to see which one I like best. Thanks again!
