girls who cook with the crock pot
do you have a digital one that you can set to turn off? i love using mine but only use it on the weekends since most recipes are for less time than i would get home during the week night so it would over cook
can you recommend yours

Mine has 4 settings - 4, 6, 8, or 10 hours
I bought it thinking the same as you, I need the 10 hour setting because of my work day.
Honestly, I find most things overcook when cooked this long. It is just DH and I so I am not making 10 pound roasts. Thinks that are smaller - i.e. chili, jumbalaya, etc. I find are much better cooked for 4 or 6 hours on the 10 hour setting (that is a lower heat).
Maybe others have better recommendations but I think the long 8+ hours is really for those larger types of dishes (roast beef), and it wouldn't matter what type of machine you really use.

Mine has a timer that switches over to "warm" after it has cooked.
It was just the crockpot brand from BBB for about $35.

Ditto - I love mine - It also has a countdown clock which lets you know how long you have remaining - Which is great for when DH walks by and says "how much longer until dinner?"
