How long do cupcakes stay good for?

We're having people over on Saturday, and I'm trying to get ahead with my baking...I was going to make these cupcakes today (just the cakes - frosting tomorrow)...but do you think they will stay good until Sat? Or should I wait and make them tomorrow?

TIA!

if you store them in tupperware or some kind of airtight container, they will be fine!

according to stilltasty.com they stay good outside the fridge for 1-3 days and good for 7 days in the fridge. This is if they have frosting.

you could bake and freeze today, and remove and just frost on Sat.

but I think if you do it today you should be fine!!!

Re: How long do cupcakes stay good for?

Thanks so much ladies!

I'm still debating...Tomorrow I'm making sauce, meatballs, and all that for lasagna, so I'll be in the house while that's cooking...but then I'm also making a chocolate cheesecake, finishing off the cake balls, and who knows what else...So, I just hope there's time!

Oh, and let me add that I'm 31+ weeks preggo - so we'll see how long I can stay on my feet!

Thanks again! Chat Icon

first, I didn't realize you are Bean08.

Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

you sound like me the day of my baby shower. Chat Icon I would do all of it today if that is the case. you want to give yourself ample time to cook (with lots of breaks)

have fun and let us know how it goes! Chat Icon

Thanks so much! I sometimes flip back and forth between names, but have kinda stuck with this one since I came out on the PG board...so thanks!!!!

Yeah, I think the schedule is getting reworked...it all sounds like too much for tomorrow!

Oh, and, next weekend we are doing the SAME thing (almost) except for my family...We should've just done one weekend of it, but I didn't think I could handle 50 something people at once! Now I'm thinking we should've just kept our big mouths shut and not done anything!
