almost duked it out with someone!
got into a discussion with this person. thought it was truly a discussion bc she was interestedin the medical aspect of IF....
NEXT thing i know she says alllllllllllllllllll those cliche's//
maybe just relax..stop stressing it will happen.
having kids is real hard.
docs dont know everything..maybe youare fine and you arent getting pregnant bc you are so stressed and wired about getting pg..
on and on....
i tried my best to be calm but  
luckily i was able to kind of walk away but it was veryyy obvious i was at the breaking of point of saying some not so nice things.
i knwo people usually dont mean harm...but if you aint been in it..then shut the f up!!!! and just say good luck kwim????

My para does this. She is constantly telling me about this friend she has who tried for 5yrs with no success and got pregnant as soon as she stopped trying.
Another co-worker says if only I did acupuncture I wouldn't need any of my fertility drugs.
Oh.. and the real kicker was when I was told if I think positively about my next pregnancy, it will be fine. So what's that saying?! I thought negatively about my last one and sabotaged myself?!

i wanna curse so hard right now......
oh yes acupuncture..meditation...and prayer.
and that equals preg. just snap your fingers and it will happen if you want it hard enough..but dont forget...DONT try.... just relax.

IF is so hard I always say I would never wish it on someone, and I don't... but sometimes you think maybe people would be a little more sensitive if they had ever had to live through it.. sigh

My "therapist" told me yesterday that i was "lucky" that i had insurance because IF isn't a "medical issue" REALLLYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY?????REALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLY? Sigh I agree, people are morons when it comes to this.

i hear this all the time! even from people who know that our IF diagnosis is a physical issue (bad tubes and endo). my favorite one is "just get drunk and have fun" really??? i wish it were that easy!! we are long past the days on getting pregnant just by having fun.

I agree.
It is frustrating when people say "Try not think about it, relax and it will happen" But what really gets me when I hear it from people who have actually gone through this. A close friend tried for 4 years and then "gave up" and ended up pregnant. She says it is because she stopped thinking about it.

I know how you feel. I have had people tell me to stand on my head afterwards so the sperm can swim and not get out - seriously!! that is what she told me, another person told me I have to just get drunk w/DH and just "do it" all night....my good friend told me to "just keep thinking positive thoughts" ok, because I am thinking negatively, that is why I have IF issues. and my aunt felt the need to tell me what days during my cycle are the best days to conceive, as if I didn't know this after 2.5 years and 2 IUIs!
The list goes on and on...it is so hard and hurtful to listen to these things sometimes, to me it is insulting.

So sorry that there are ignorant people in this world that really have no idea what anyone goes thru that loses a child or that cant have a child, some people just dont get it.....hang in there!!!
