Question about Scheduling HSG
So as I posted earlier, at my first RE appointment I also had a pap. I'm STILL cramping from it.
RE said the HSG should be done after AF is finished but before O.
Today is Day 9 of my cycle. I generally O between day 11 - 15.
Would you still try to schedule the HSG in the next 2 days, or would you hold off and schedule it for next cycle?
We aren't going to be able to start any protocols until next cycle anyway because I have to wait to have my CD3 blood work done.
What would you do?

I would try to schedule it. Its a last minute type of test, so I bet you can get in this cycle. Good luck.

Get it over with. They want you to do it before you O b/c it's really really bad if you do it when you are accidentally pregnant. When they made me take a pregnancy test, I wanted to say "the only way I'd be pregnant right now is if the sperm fairy came in my window and put some viable sperm into my uterus without me noticing."  But instead, I did as I was told and peed in the cup.

Thanks for the advice gals!
I called yesterday to try to schedule it for this week and they said I couldn't. She said I have to call back on CD 1 to schedule it.
Oh well ... guess I have no choice but to wait.

Yeah, I didn't think you could schedule it. I had to go for a blood test 3 days before my HSG to test for pregnancy. And I had to swear that I wouldn't bd even once between af and the test. They take it really seriously.
Hope this is a quick cycle for you so you can get on with it next cycle! Call as soon as you get af and schedule the test for around CD 8.

Yes they really DO take it seriously! I have an HSG scheduled for a few weeks from now AND I am on the pill AND I need to use condoms   Did I mention I WANT to get pregnant?!

I could not schedule it until I got AF. You call on day one and they schedule the appt. 7-10 days after that. People say it hurts...it didnt bother me at all!!!
