For those who hve had work done...
or even for those who haven't!...
We are having some renovations done and so far have only gotten 1 estimate, but wanted some input for what you think this might cost...
CAC in the whole house (2 units, including all ductwork)
Rip out full bath to the studs and replace, incl. ceramic tile
Rip out work in kitchen and make full bathroom, with washer/dryer hookup
New staircase/banister
Remove double entry doors and replace with 1 door with sidelights on both sides
Take down 1 wall
Put up 2 new walls and closets
I know this si a total long shot, but anyone have any ideas?

I know someone who had CAC done. Ranch house, 1 unit and duct work, and it cost them $11,000. A little under that.
Don't know the rest cost est. but sounds expensive.

We just did a ton of renovations but I cant give you a breakdown b/c it was all done by one guy as a whole package. 2 things that were separate though - I do know our CAC cost $8200 (ductwork for entire split level house, 2 units) and the bathroom renovation is appx. $6900

My total home renovation, general contractor, was not itemized, just the subs.
I already posted my CAC and your bathroom will probably 8K, w/o the extra plumbing work.
My new banister, completely finished and many companies don't paint/finish the spindles , cost 3K, cash for a long and wrap around banister. the guy was meticulous. Most banisters are smaller so cost less.
You are ripping out one existing bathroom and building another with washer/dryer? Do the hookups for the washer/dryer already exist in the area? That will save some money. Just remember, they have to give you a standard, 36" door on that bathroom. so you can get a wash/dryer in and out of there, instead of the standard smaller bathroom door.

50k would be my guess - the cac is expensive as is a new staircase and 2 bathrooms redone
