Hi Ladies, So i had my ER yesterday and they retrieved 12 eggs. the procedure itself was quick i was done in about 25 min. then i rested for another half hour. Dr Hershlag did the retrieval. I was crampy all day and had pressure everytime i stood up. Another weird feeling i had and this might be TMI but it was pressure that felt like i had to go the bathroom soo bad that i held it for an hour and when i went it was painful and pressure. Weird. Today still a little pressure, and gassy but not sure if its the antiobiotics medrol and doxycycline. i also got up three times last night to pee and that never happens to me. Anwyays thanks again for all your advice. Waiting on my results this afternoon.
UPDATE: they have 9 that fertilized. im am happy with this number. i am on schedule for now for sun but they said it could change. they will call me tomorrow. thanks again ladies.
they also said i could take gas x and evertyhing is normal.
UPDATE #2: so im scheduled for a 5 day transer on tues. im still a little ocnfused on all this. anyone know what are the pros of this? thanks.,
Yay!!!12!!!The pressure is very normal. It lasts for a few days. You will also get constipated so make sure you eat some prunes and try and go before your transfer. It is very uncomfortable but by your transfer day it will feel better. Just make sure you drink fluids and try and go to the bathroom. Hoping for a great fertilization report!!
thats great. you should be happy about a 5dt over a 3dt. in general its better to let the embryos grow to the blastocyte stage before tranferring. this allows the embies that aren't going to make it to weed themselves out. once an embie gets to blast the chances of it being normal and implantating are better than transferring 3 day embies which generally have less cells and may not show fragmentation yet.
