gestational diabetes

Have any of you ladies been diagnosed with gestational diabetes? I haven't had my 2nd try at the glucose test, but someone told me yesterday that I looked big for the amount of months I was and if I had been check for it, cause my baby might be growing fast.

I don't have it but what a horrible thing to say to someone. Lots of times, there are NO SIGNS of GD. Try not to worry.

I had it when I was pregnant and my baby was normal size ( 7lbs 15 oz and I was 5 days late. There weren't any signs. The only hint was when I went for the one hour test the nurse said she could tell by my voice that my sugar was high when she went to prick my finger. She said it was shaky. She pricked my finger and tmy blood sugar level was 220!
I went for the 3 hour test which confirmed I had it. I gained 30 pounds and I don't think I looked huge.

I had it with my first pregnancy and I developed type 2 when my son was 21 months, so I am a diabetic with this pregnancy.

My son was 8lbs even. This one so far has been measuring right on schedule.

ETA: I gained 50lbs the first time. But I was eating alot of sweets before I was diagnosed. I haven't gained a pound this time around. I think mostly because of the strict diet I am on.
