Rump roast recipe??
I have never cooked one before and want to cook one for tomorrow (DH's request). What is a good recipe??

I don't really prepare rump roast as a 'roast' - it's got a lot of connective tissue so it can get tough. I cube it, marinate it and braise it because I think it makes it easier to eat. I'd be interested in seeing recipes for a roast though! Maybe I'll try one too!

I put it in the slow cooker for HOURS - until very tender ..
I put french onion soup (1 can), cream of mushroom soup (1 can) and a jar of brown gravy ... SO good!
I serve it over mashed potatoes. Its so easy to make and the gravy is really good!

Yess the slow cooker is amazing for a rump roast. I use a can of lipton onion soup, can of cream mushroom, fresh mushrooms, peas and pearl onions. let it cook for 8-10 hours and serve over egg noodles!
