6 pounds since Saturday & a question about fruit juice
I've been sick for about three weeks and although I had no appetite last week, I ate regularly and drank a LOT of liquids. Tea and honey by the gallon, but also a whole lot of fruit juice. I payed no attention to sugar content because it made my throat feel better so I drank it.
I figured I'd be gaining weight during this time but after getting back into the diet groove since Monday, I finally weighed myself and I'm down six pounds from last Saturday.
I love juices like apple, grape, pineapple, mango, strawberry, banana. How are these when you're on a low-fat, low-carb diet? I eat one apple and/or one banana a day, but I'd love to add juice if I could. Do you drink a lot of juice? If so, which ones?
I always assumed sweet juices like grape were a no-no because of the sugar content. I don't drink anything acidic because my stomach can't handle it so no grapefruit, lemon, orange.

There are low cal./low sugar juices out there. I don't drink juice but I buy those for dh- including the Trop 50. It doesnt have any fat/ only 13g of carbs per serving.

I stay away from any drink that contains calories except for coffee (w/milk) and alcohol

I like pomegranate juice a lot - but only 2oz (not the full 8 oz serving) with 0 calorie raspberry seltzer. LOVE. And it's only 40 calories.

I try not to drink juice because's still so much sugar even in the low sugar juices.
If I want a fruity drink I'll get crystal light.

I would stay away from the juise. it probably didn't impact you since it was all you were eating and your body was using it instead of storing it as fat. Juice has a lot of sugar so I would really not reccomend a lot of it if you're trying to lose weight. i personally try to avoid it almost entirely.

Same, I don't go beyond one glass of juice a day...and I mix any juice with half water (like you would with a kid)
