Re: Need a pork chop receipe
sprinkle pork chops with salt and pepper.
allow frying pan to get nice and hot and add olive oil.
sear chops on both sides until nice and brown.
remove from pan.
then add about 1 cup of hard apple cider, 1 tablespoon of dijon mustard you could also use stone ground) and a few tablespoons of heavy cream and allow to simmer down. you can taste and add more of whatever to balance...this is all approximate!
return pork chops to pan to cook through with the sauce.
serve over mashed potatoes.

Re: Need a pork chop receipe
Warning.. this is FATTENING! And delicious.
Put some oil in a cast iron pan and get it HOT.
Make mixture of salt, paprika, pepper, granulated garlic and onion powder. I kind of just.. wing it. 2:1 on the salt to pepper and paprika - and then maybe 2:1 on the pepper to garlic and onion. I use a lot of seasoning so all parts of the chop get some. Keep the seasoning mix out for later. Dredge in flour (I use Bisquick) and slap to get off the excess.
Drop the chops in the pan to sear.. probably a couple of minutes each side.
Take the chops out and in the pan, reduce heat to medium and add a large sliced onion, 2-3 smashed garlic cloves and a nice little knob of butter. Sprinkle onion with sugar and get to carmelizing! When the butter melts and the onions are nice and golden - add in 2 tablespoons of your dredging powder and whisk it good. Whisk in about 2.5-3 cups of stock (Chicken or Beef or both). Scrape up the hardened bits on the bottom because they are delicious. Add some of the leftover seasoning to taste.
Put the chops back in and simmer (Covered) for about 15-20 minutes. Sauce should thicken and chops should be cooked through. You could just throw it in the oven instead of doing the simmering on the stove. It's IMPORTANT that the heat be steady for a simmer. Boiling tougens the meat.
If the sauce isn't thick enough (should be like a gravy) - you can thicken it. Add 2 Tablespoons of flour to a quarter cup of stock and whisk in a small bowl until thick and smooth. Introduce to the pan a tiny bit at a time until the sauce has reached your desired consistancy.

Same here. I'll use italian dressing instead of water for extra flavor.
