C25k - first run tonight
Ok, so I decided to start running again- to ease back into after a 6 year hiatus I downloaded the free podcast and started week one of training.
It felt GREAT, but I didn't even break a sweat I do walk everyday 3-5 miles so I think I'm in fairly good shape to begin with, but is that normal? Should I maybe skip to week 2?

Why don't you see how you feel on day 2? I think it can't hurt to break in slow!
That's awesome you didn't sweat - I am a sweaty mess no matter what I do!!!

Re: C25k - first run tonight
I just started this past weekend. I'm also a walker. I didn't think the first run was difficult at all, but I was a little sore in weird places the next day like my hips.
I wouldn't rush it just because it'll give your body a little more time to adjust to the increased impact of jogging vs walking on your joints and body.

Ok, I'll wait and see how it goes- Liza, I'm like you- I'm usually a sweaty mess no matter what I do! But yesterday I didn't even break a sweat and today I'm not at all sore. Maybe I can just pick up the pace of my jogging intervals next time...I'll see if that works a little better

Re: C25k - first run tonight
how fast are you running?
you might want to skip right to week 2... that's what i did (it was my second time starting C25k after a hiatus)
I also never feel sore the next day... it's the day AFTER that when i feel it! so see how you feel then :)
