Re: Tips for the holidays?
On actual holidays I don't count points or calories. Why should I deprive myself of a fantstic thanksgiving feast? I overinduldge and enjoy every minute. I go right back to healthy eating the next day.
The advice I have is to just enjoy yourself and eat what you want. Even if you gain a pound or two, most likely it'll just be water weight and you'll lose it by next week.
I've kept 60lbs off for almost 3 years and never deprived myself on holidays!

Re: Tips for the holidays?
i have recently gotten back to "normal" myself and am so afraid of gaining a lot of weight like i normally do! i keep trying to remind myself that nothing tastes as good as being able to wear a lot of the clothes i can now...but it is so hard once that food is in front of me...so my "strategy" is that i am going to try to eat healthy during regular days and not think about it on special occasions. i want to enjoy myself too. i am also not going to stop running which i usually do during holiday season. hoping this works!

Re: Tips for the holidays?
My best tip is to remember the holidays are only one day. What I mean is Thanksgiving, Christmas, Hanukkah, New Years, whatever you celebrate. So eat what you want on those days, just don't let it be an excuse to have a 2 month eating orgy! I have kept 45 lbs off for about 9 years now, and I do not deprive myself on special occasions. Just eat right 90% of the time and get exercise and you can make it through the holidays without gaining weight!
