spinoff to how many shoes...
How many shoes do you actually WEAR in a given season?
I own probably about 50 pairs of shoes, but I only wear 2 pairs of flats and 1 pair of boots during the fall. In winter I only wear the boots!
The only time I wear heels is if I go to a club which is getting rarer and rarer!

Probably around 10 per season as well Unless I have a lot of occasions to dress up for - then I can get more use out of my heels

Just last week I wore 4 different pairs of boots alone.
Although I do feel that a lot of my boots/shoes aren't worn because I forget about them. My bedroom closet is on the smaller side, so the majority of my shoes are in the basement, in their original boxes (with photos attached) on those commercial stainless steel racks.  I told my DH that he needs to hurry up and do the addition so I can have a huge closet (or rather dressing room) and therefore see my shoes and get more use out of them. I think it makes perfect sense!!!

Hmm...winter I probaby wear about 12-15 different pairs.
4-5 for work, 3 boots, 1 sneaker,1 moccasin,4 uggs = my winter
