I officially hate people.

I am not really sharing my if journey with many people, so of course I don't expect everyone to know the stress I feel but I just wonder about the common sense level of certain people.

In the past few months many people have asked when DH and I plan to have kids.. we keep saying that we aren't sure if we're ready yet.. or that we may start trying in the summer.. because it's really none of their business.

ANYWAY, today a co-worker comes up to me and asks when am I planning on having a baby because everyone else who got married after me have already had kids and are starting on their 2nd. I said we aren't sure and that we are thinking of starting next year and she says.. "you really are getting older and youth isn't going to be on your side forever".

People really can be so stupid and mean! I am currently in the stage - all of those around me are on their 2nd child. When I think it about it I just get so upset so I try not to go there and think about it.

People are so inconsiderate! It is absolutely nobody's business but yours and your DH's and no one should ever ask you this question, let alone make comments about your age. As difficult as it may be to do, please try to ignore these comments. The last thing you need is more stress.

latest and greatest comment i received is that " you might not be doing it right". i am so pizzed at this comment, i can only laugh at this point. MORONS! yes, we are not doing it right, DH is sticking his middle finger in my a$$ and I can not get pregnant!

Wow! That sure is rude.... I would have had to let her know that she was being rude too. Who says that to someone?? I hope you said something back!!!

I didn't have much of a problem with these types of comments because everyone pretty much knew we got pregnant and had a mc.... and that we were trying again. I also felt like the more they knew and understood, the less obnoxious questions I got. And when someone did ask me about it, I had NO PROBLEM telling them the deal. It usually shut them right up... even to the point of never asking me about it again.

people are just plain rude....I had a coworker - who is fully aware of my IF issues and knows I just had an unsuccessful IUI tell me to stand on my head after and she guarantees I will get pregnant, another one told me to just get drunk and do it all night....they were joking when they said it, but it was very hurtful for me, needless to say I will not be sharing anything else with them in the future.

I have heard that get drunk line a few times when I said that we weren't sure whether we were going to start trying or not.. they say "get drunk and then you don't have to think about it". I just couldn't imagine telling people that they have to start having kids or being so presumptuous as to say 1/2 of the things that people say to me!

People really are just dumb sometimes. I also wonder if sometimes they act that way to possibly get some info or gossip. I swear if people at work kept asking me i would say none of your business. When im prego it will be when we are period. As for the age thing. Thats just c rap. I know people in their forties having their first. Im 36 & according to my Drs im like a 26 yr old for production wise. Plus im in great health as well. So dont worry about it. But make yourself feel better. Let them know this is not a topic that is up for discussion or speculation. This is a personal decision between you & your DH. Good luck

I have found throughout my crazy IF/loss journey that very often saying something stupid and insenstive comes more natural than saying nothing at all
