Does anyone know? Can you use toothpicks in a crockpot?

Hi All!

I am making something in my crockpot and I don't have kitchen string to tie it together - can I use wooden toothpicks???

Thanks!
Lauren

I have used toothpicks in the slow cooker - I had a recipe for Chicken cordon blue in the crockpot - it was yummy!
