Cold Cuts

Does anyone else get a turned off by cold cuts or try to stay away from eating them? I buy sliced turkey or chicken breast, but I won't eat anything else.

It's hard because it's such a convenient thing to have and eat but not so healthy. My kids like ham and bologna but it turns me off when I look at the ingredients in the pre-packed cold cuts. Even if it's Boars Head, still has preservatives. There are very few options of "healthy" cold cuts w/o the bad stuff. Any alternatives? I have to decide between convenience of feeding my kids something they like and will actually eat vs. health!

Re: Cold Cuts

I only eat turkey or chicken coldcuts. Look into Trader Joes, they have good packaged cold cuts.

Re: Cold Cuts

I rarely buy them because they are costly and honestly, I only like cold cuts when they are very fresh. I feel like after I open them for a day or two..........blech.

I also don't have the patience to deal with the line at the deli (although I know they have started some thing where you can pre-order and pick up before you leave.......use deli so rarely haven't tried this).

Once in awhile I will buy DH the pre-packaged ones if he wants to make a quick sandwich for work.

Not a fan of cold cuts at all... I usually only get them in a sandwich right from the deli. I hate when they sit around and get slimy.
