Help for the Keurig Mini
I have bought four different boxes with different blends, but for some reason I only get weak, watered down coffee. It is like the water does not get hot enough to heat up the beans or something. I actually contacted the company thinking maybe something was broken. Her answer was to descale it (not sure how this will help as I have used mine tops 10 times ) and to check the temp of the coffee as it is coming out. I have to go buy a candy therm. to do this. But I was wondering did anyone else have this experience and what did you do to fix it. I have all these boxs of cups sitting around going to waste. I feel like I must be doing something wrong, as everyone just loves the coffee from Keurig.
TIA

Re: Help for the Keurig Mini
Probably not what you want to hear but that is how I felt about the Keurig. We got it as a gift and we hate it. I find the coffee (all blends) to taste watered down and when I tried to make tea, it tasted like coffee to me! We gave up after a few months and put it away.
I felt like a freak, my ILs sound like a commercial for it, they love it so much!

Re: Help for the Keurig Mini
Try shaking the pods before you put them in the machine.
This happened to me once with a box I got and I shook them up and it helped!
Also- which belnds did you get?
I love my Keurig...but I've never used the mini..

Re: Help for the Keurig Mini
thanks ladies-glad to hear it is not just me
(I will try shaking them. Maybe I just got bad boxes.) Or, I was thinking maybe the mini doesn't work as well as the big one!?
I have tried the tea and coffee only. I have yet to try the hot chocolate.

Re: Help for the Keurig Mini
I've heard that the mini wasn't that good. I have one that has like 5 settings with different size cups of coffee. I sometimes use the second largest setting (which I guess would make a "weaker" cup of coffee) and the coffee always tastes good.
I'm sorry it isn't working out for you. I have heard of some people who just don't like the Keurig coffee at all, and others (like me, my ILS and my parents) who rave about it all the time.

Re: Help for the Keurig Mini
i guess i have the mini - it only has one setting. I've had the same one for 4 years. I love it. i agree the coffee isn't super strong, but i'm not a fan of starbucks coffee.
i recently got the message to descale it and it helped a lot. it was basically running white vinegar through the machine. maybe try that. or use the filter and different coffee that you know is stronger, like starbucks.
