Lupron help

Quick question, I am preparing for IVF later this month. I am so nervous, and overwhelmed at times. I started Lupron on day 21 of my cycle. Yesterday was day 10 and the nurse told me I could stop then. I 've noticed that others have continued to use lupron up to the day of ER. Has anyone else doing IVF stopped lupron on the 10th day? Also, I am at least 2 days late waiting for AF. Usually I am like clockwork. I am convinced the lupron is throwing my cycle off. Has anyone else experienced this? Sorry for the long message. Thanks for any feedback.

For one my cycle, I was on lupron as well. The period following that cycle was late and shorter. Lupron definitely messed up my cycle that followed.

Are you on an antagonist protocol? In other words..using Ganerilex or Cetrotide once AF comes? I start Lupron tomorrow...Day 19 and I only take it for 8 days and stop and wait for AF. I then start Cetrotide. No Lupron at all right up until ER. I am on what is called an Agonist (lupron)/antagonist conversion protocol...there is no more Lupron in the cycle after those 8 days...perhaps you are on a similar protocol. They could also be worried about over-suppression with you.

I am on an estrogen-priming protocol and have been on lupron since CD21 approx. You don't get a true AF on lupron, just a bleed that is brought on by the lupron. My last cycle I took it for 14 days and this cycle it will be about 10 days. My protocol does not call for it to be used again during the cycle.

i havent started lupron yet (should be starting tomorrow waiting for my "ok" as i had blood taken today). They did tell me AF will prob be a day ot two late. They didnt say how long i would be taking it for. not really much of help, but good luck with everything !!!

I should add that I am also on an estrogen priming protocol.
