Insurance not covering Laparascopy

I received a notice from my insurance company and they declined the claim, stating that surgery was not pre-approved. My RE's office called and said it did not need pre-approval.

Crap, now what???? Chat Icon

$hit!

I would still try. It can’t hurt. And maybe part of it they will cover. Maybe not the procedure but blood work, testing sonos, anesthesia , etc.

I HATE insurance companies and their loop holes. Im so sorry you had to go thru thisChat Icon I would also call my REs office and see why they told you they didnt need a pre authorization. Chat Icon In the end it’s our responsibility but still, if they TOLD you one thing, and it’s not true, shame on them!

GOOD LUCK !!!Chat Icon

Re: Insurance not covering Laparascopy

i also have UHC and they get worse by minute. As far as I know, my plan does not require any type of pre certification. File the claim.Chat Icon
