Anyone having a TV on a "hanging" TV stand (whatever its called)

To save space, I was thinknig of putting the TV on those "doctors office" style hanging things in the kids playroom. I know they sell em at home depot.

Does anyone have a photo of one they have? IS there room for a DVD player, cable box, etc? Chat Icon

thanks!

We have one in our bedroom. We purchased it at Home Depot about 3 years ago. It does not come with a dvd/vcr stand but you can purchase one.

Yes we have one in DS's room - I didn't want him to be able to turn on the tv whenever he wanted or sit right in front of it and hurt his eyes

It has room for a dvd player or cable box. I believe they sell them where it holds both.

key word for google is TV WALL MOUNT...click onto images to see more images

it must be attached to a stud keep in mind....
make sure the stand can support the tv (weight and size)

ETA: one more question, do you have to buy it WITH the space for the cable box, or does that come separately, we'll need that and hopefully a space for a dvd player too. (kids playroom)

I'll post a pic later when I get home. But, we have the TV hanging...and then we bought a nice shelf to go right under it that we put the cable box on. We get lots of compliments on it (it's in our new master BR).

they come in all soughts of flavors...the second picture above shows little shelfs up top...

alternative to this is just feeding all the wires up (similar to feeding your power down from the stand) and leaving dvd/cable box on the bottom or shelf, etc...

edit:
as the poster above said, you can just get a regular shelf (deep) and hang it directly under it. it is the same effect as somethign built in. IKEA sells good shelfs in all different sizes and colors for cheap.

oh good idea, didnt think of getting a shelf and installing it nearby! I love the idea of ALL of it (dvd, cable box, etc) AWAY from the kids because they wont get their little hands on em Chat Icon
