Places for a drink and some snacks around Penn
I hate this area for that but I am meeting someone at 7 close to Penn and don't want to travel all over the place.
Any decent, slightly upscale places?

met friends at Mason jar for a drink last week and it was decent. not really upscale, but a good place for a drink and simple food.

Crooked Knife is near that place and is supposed to be a decent spot. Also, Wine 30.
These are all on 30th st.
The Ginger man is on like 35th I think. I have met friends there for drinks and it was nice - not really upscale, but a good afterwork spot. Also, right near it is under the volcano.

Thanks. Those places are a bit east of there.
Definitely looking for something more west..even in the 40s is ok.

I'm nots sure about it being upscale, but there's a Local right there.

Stout is right accross the street from Penn/MSG. Good bar food & drinks.

I know its late and it might be a bit "too" far but in the future you can try Bar Americain...decent bar area and definetly upscale. Believe its on w. 52nd

We ended up at Mustang Harrys. It was fine for what we needed. I ate way too much though.
Next time I will go back to the times square area. Been to Bar Americain and I love it.. I used to work in that area and I'm more familiar.

Connollys or Stout. I'm also a big fan of Heartland Brewery.
