Frozen Cream cheese - Now What?

Since cream cheese has a decent shelf life, I try to buy it when its on sale in volume. Last month I bought six packages of cream cheese and put them in the fridge. this morning when I opened the freezer, there they were I called DH and he said he has put them in there last week to make room in the fridge....you're not supposed to freeze cream cheese...says so right on the package....now what? I was going ot make a cheese cake and I would hate to put the time and effort in and it doesnt come out right. Dont tell me I have to throw al this cream cheese out

looks like it might be ok if you use it to cook, but not something i would want to risk wasting all the ingredients to make something and it come out bad....cream cheese goes on sale so much during the holiday season....i know it stinks to have to waste it, but better to waste just that, than an entire meal or baked good.

My mom freezes cream cheese and it's fine. I say defrost it and make the cake!
