Re: how to move out of state?

Start by looking at online job sites...narrow down the "need" for jobs.

It's a lenghty process...but can be done. Good luck!! Chat Icon

I lived in AZ for 5 yrs. I lived in the Tempe area went to ASU-I loved it there! What areas are you thinking. The market is so hot right there you may want to consider looking soon because theri values have shot up alot. When I was there 94-99 you could buy a 3-4 BD brand new with an in ground pool for about 100,000-now i think they are in the high 200's low 300's

It was hot - but Fortune Magazine just rated it a dead zone...too many contractors building too many developments. and too many people coming in from California

If you need health insurance...you should have a job first...cobra is EXPENSIVE!

just moved out of state, and paying cobra now. For me solo, it is 355.00 a month. With dh it would be 730.00 family plan is over 900.00.

we just moved, no jobs. we found a great apt. we just bought a car, DH was just hired this week. so our new insurance will go into effect 8/1. Luckily, same insurance I have now.

We saved a lot of money before moving to insure bills would be paid during job hunt.

Re: how to move out of state?

DH and I are moving out of state. We are building a home so we have time. We signed our contract in May and our house will be ready in Feb. DH has already started looking for a job. He will move down first and get settled as soon as he finds a job. I am in grad school until December so I will stay here and work until he finds a job. Go onto the online sites like Monster, and Careerbuilder and you can look for jobs through there. Good luck!!!

Re: how to move out of state?

I would recommend finding the job first and that will help dictate where exactly to move in AZ. I would not risk moving, not having a job and having to use Cobra.

I agree with that.

Maybe you can get the local newspaper (with classified) online.
