Hyperstimulated?
Hi ladies, I am on my first IVF cycle and produced 45 eggs. That combined with all of my symptoms it's safe to say I am hyperstimulated. Tomorrow is the anticipated day of transfer, hwoever the doc is threatening to cancel. My first question is : what helped you with the bloating, breathing? (I'm huge and it's getting harder to sit, walk, breathe) Second question: if your cycle got cancelled, how does it work from here on out?Thank you for your help.

Re: Hyperstimulated?
you need to drink liquids high in electroytes, like gatorade, instead of water. you also need to eat proteins and small meals. eating too much will be incredibly uncomfortable. if you are having trouble breathing you NEED to call the RE. i had all the same symptoms except the breathing. i was always told if you start to have breathing issues you absolutely need to see the doctor. for me i had the most pain when i took deep breathes or yawned or sneezed. it got to the point where when i would yawn, my body would stop half way cause it of the pain, i couldnt even complete a yawn!!
if you get cancelled you will wait to get AF and do an FET. what was your fert report from the 45 eggs? thats a lot, so your e2 mustve been very high, which is why you are so uncomfortable now.
good luck! i hope you are able to transfer tomorrow but if you cant, you are better off waiting until you feel better. for me i felt a lot better by the day of the transfer (5dt).

Re: Hyperstimulated?
Thank you I really hope I'll be better by tomorrow, they fertilized 25. He said my E2 levels weren't as high as he expecd whch is why he reconsidered cancelling. He also told me to limit my water intake all together, only drink when its absolutely necessary. I've been trying to stick to Gatorade...but I;m so happy to hear that it went away so quickly for you. Hoping the end is near and so is the transfer.

Re: Hyperstimulated?
i had my ER on a friday and was OK that day and then had sat and sunday to recover which i thought would be enough. but for some reason the WORST were monday and tuesday (days 3 & 4 post ER). i had to go to work in the city and it was really pure torture. just walking on the concrete hurt my entire abdomen. then the ET came and they said my ovaries were pretty enlarged but it wasnt a problem. i did start to feel better that day (although it may have been the valium for the ET ). anyway i stayed home the next few days and really didnt move a lot at all. i really felt almost normal again about 2 days after the transfer.
good luck tomorrow!!!!!

Re: Hyperstimulated?
I found drinking gatorade and V8 helped as well as eating small meals. My dr. said to not drink any water, to just stick to liquids w/ electrolytes and salt. I also took dostinex - which seemed to lessen the symptoms. Unfortunately I was not able to do a fresh transfer but am hoping for the best for you tomorrow!!!!
