Switching Dr within a practice?
I currently go RS of NY and I am unhappy with the Dr that I see, I feel her bedside manner, for lack of a better word, sucks. However, I have met several of the other Dr's who I am more comfortable and happy with. Will practices switch your primary to another Dr? I almost feel like I would rather switch offices all together than continue to see her. It looks like my journey has brought me to IVF and I would rather not deal with this current Dr, but another Dr in the practice.

Hi, I go to RSONY also. There is one doctor that I don't really care for as well. I just ask who is on rotation when I make my appointments so that I'm not with them.

I too was a pt at RSOFNY( 3x success story) .....If I'm thinking of who you are thinking of I(Dr.C) ITA about her bed-side manner, but I have to say....She knows her stuff inside and out if you can get past her personality , she's a good doctor ( she also is who got me my DS)
Stelling was my main RE there ( whom I love ) but for my entire FET the only time I saw him was my consult...If you do go the IVF route, simply ask for your consult to be with the RE of choice because this is ultimately who decides your game plan....The rest of the appts are up to chance including retrieval and transfer which are specifically timed and she may be the one who ends up doing them anyway based on who is working that day ....
Best of luck to you !!

ITA agree with this. i was a pt there as well --- dr stelling was my primary dr but i did saw dr c as well during monitoring. her bedside manners suck but she knows her stuff. When i had my second mc she was like a totally different person - really helped me thru it emotionally she opened up to me as a person not a dr.
Whatever ur choice is if u decide to go to the west islip office (dr halfen is there alot and hes wonderful ) good luck!!!
