Has anyone ever heard UPDATED - 1ST SONO
of someone seeing a hb as early as 5 weeks?
I go for a 5 week sono on Thursday and I know it's unlikely that we will see much but is there any chance at all?
I am sort of bummed because I think I would rather have just waited it out to 6 weeks, but my RE has me coming this week instead. Now I don't know if we should tell our parents yet or not.
Any thoughts?
UPDATE: I had my first sono yesterday at 5 weeks on the dot. We saw a sac. No yolk could be seen yet, but my RE seemed really convinced that it was definitely a pregnancy sac and that it's really too early to see anything more. I go back next Thursday for a 6 week appointment and then hopefully we will see a little more. I left there feeling a little less excited at first, but I kept reminding myself that this is what I was to expect from such an early visit.
My RE told me that I should also call my OB/Gyn to make an appt with him in 2 weeks. I'm guessing since he is sending me off so fast, he must be pretty confident. I asked him if he thought it looked good and he smiled and said "I really think everything is going to be ok". 
So now I get to go for a sono at 6 weeks and then another one at 7 weeks. At least I'm not waiting too long in between appointments.

nah I doubt it, I went at 5 weeks 4 days and didnt see it, went back at 6 weeks and it was there

Not an actual HB, but you may see a flicker which is basically a HB just beginning! I was able to see that at my 5 week sono.
