Bedding Poll - I'm torn!
I know they're only babies once so part of me wants to do cute little duckies or frogs, but the other part of me wants to do toile or polka dots - something non-babyish. What type of bedding is everyone doing?

I love, love, love toile. If the baby is a boy, however I really doubt DH will let me get away
with it. He'll say it's not "manly" enough.

I had one of each style 
I prefer the non-babyish though. I never ever once dressed my son in a babish outfit. People would always comment " you dress him like a little man - like in mini adult clothes"
Thats just my style.

I feel the same way. I know that MIL will go out and buy all the cheesiest character clothing and furniture she can find- Thank God for basement "play rooms"

I am picking baby-ish stuff. I think a baby should be dressed like a baby. But, everyone is different. You should go with what you like.
ETS: the furniture, on the other hand, can definately grow with the child into adult-hood.

I think we'll do the non-babyish bedding, and decorate the room babyish. Cute pictures and stuffed animals - things to make it feel like a baby's room.

I wanted something more contemporary...but the set I loved was too expensive...so we went with butterflies...I think it's cute, but more on the babyish side that I would have prefered.

Same situation with us, except we wound up going with monkeys. We just really liked the color palette of the set. We will only be registering for the crib set in the monkey design, and then go with solid complimentary colors for decorations (lamps, carpet, window treatments.) We knew that we couldn't go over the top with a theme, it's just not us.
