Ok, as per your encouragement, I did it...now what??

I joined WW online today but feel a bit overwhelemed with all this points stuff. Do you ladies have any tips for a WW beginner.
I am trying to loose 20lbs to get back to my PP weight (I have already lost 5lbs on my own). Any suggestions would be very helpful!Chat Icon

- Write down EVERYTHING that goes into your mouth
- Stick to the points. 1-2 points there extra and before you know it you have lots of extra points.
- Don't eat it if you don't know the points
- Get a digital food scale to know exactly the weight of food you are eating (I got one at Target). You might be surprised what 3 oz of chicken really is in size.
- Get an electronic calculator at WW. They are super handy. Great for converting points quickly and for grocery shopping.
- Check Gina's WW recipies at www.skinnytaste.com

Congrats on joining. I would hold off on getting wrapped in all the information right now because sometime in Nov. They are making changes to the program.

I agree with getting a food scale but not a WW one until it has the new plan on it

Congrats on joining! Don't feel overwhelmed, points is easy and after a few weeks I can almost guarantee it will be like second nature to you! I think one of the most important things is to write down everything you eat.

It helped me when I first joined to just track my points, not really change anything yet. Write down everything that you eat and see where your issue lie. For me, it was snacking--I didn't realize how often I did it and how quickly the points added up!

Once you do that, you'll realize how many points you consume and how many you'll need to cut down.

Also, use the meal suggestions they have. I definitely found them helpful when I started.

And plan, plan plan! Think about how many points you want to have per meal/snack and what those points will be. Then, stick to it!
