Roasted Chicken
I'm hosting dinner for my dad's bday. I've never had people over for dinner believe it or not. I wanted to make a roasted chicken but can that serve 7 people?

Re: Roasted Chicken
I think it's going to depend on how many sides you have and how much each person eats.
I have a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 kids) - when I do an oven roaster it feeds all of us and we have enough for sandwiches the next day - but I would feel pretty nervous about trying to feed 3 more people on that same bird. Plus you will only be able to offer skin, wings and legs to just a few people. I think I'd go for 2 chickens.
I should say I am that girl who always makes sure there is more than enough food for guests.

I agree! Plus with two smaller chickens they'll cook much faster. I get nervous cooking really big chickens and you don't want anyone to get sick!

I use Pioneer Woman's recipe and you can make 2 chickens at the same time... it's super easy!
