We live in Chelsea - 15th & 7th...great area...pretty $$$. DH has lived in the building his whole life, so he got a sweet deal when he moved into his apartment 10 years ago.

I live on Staten Island. We rent a 3 bedroom single family home with a garage and a backyard. I really love that it is a cross between the Manhattan (where I work) and LI (where I grew up)!
My parents rent on 92nd and York and they love it up there.

i rent on the upper east side. i've lived in 3 apts so far and rents have run the gamut. had one 2BR 4 fl walkup in midtown east and it was cheap, a 1BR (also 4 fl walkup) on 88th & 3rd that was also a great deal. Current apt is luxury DM bldg on 75th & 2nd and the rent is

I do! Midtown East - 1BR (under 700sqft) - full service, 24hr dm building. Like the other posters have said - my rent is No one else has posted #s so I guess I will be the first - $3000/mo (utilities not included). however, we have lived here for a while - i am told that the rents for new renters in this building start at $3100 and would be $3400 for my apt.

We rent on 88th between 1st and York. It's a one-bedroom corner apt in an elevator building. We pay less than $2000 and its probably around 600 sq ft. We like it here but we close on a condo in westchester at the end of August so we are moving out!!!
