Some pro pic teasers from Amanda Picone
Foodwise, for CH, we had an Italian antipasto display, cheese display, fruits and cruidite table. We had made to order penne alla vodka, orechiette with sausage and broccoli rabe and penne primavera. We had chafing dishes with eggplant rollatini, chicken piccata, mussels fra diavlo, fried calamari and pork loin with sauerkraut. We had a station with lobster rolls, sliders, pulled pork sandwiches and veggie paninis. The piece de resistance was our Nathans Hot Dog cart, which was by FAR the biggest hit. We had passed hors d'oeurves which were sliced steak on garlic toast, red bliss potatoes with caviar and creme fraiche, bruschetta, pigs in a blanket, fruit skewers w/yogurt sauce, mini chicken quesadillas, Maryland crab cakes, bacon wrapped scallops, teriyaki chicken, and mini quiche lorraine.
For dinner, the appetizer was cheese tortellini in a pesto cream sauce followed by Caesar salad. Dinner entree choices were chicken florentine wrapped in puff pastry (HUGE hit), sliced NY prime sirloin with a horseradish cream sauce, veggie lasagna with bechamel and herb crusted tilapia in a lemon butter sauce, served w/roasted red potatoes, green beans and carrots.
Our wedding cake was vanilla cake w/chocolate mousse and raspberry preserves, chocolate cake w/cannoli and fresh strawberries and marble cake w/white chocolate mousse and vanilla custard, from the Rolling Pin.
People are still raving about the wedding. The food and service at Smithtown Landing was impeccabe. We didn't skimp on anything and what we had was top notch (I knew the chef, so I knew the food would be incredible). We actually managed to eat a little bit at CH and we even had most of our dinner. I rave about SL!
