Need help quick!

My great uncle passed away yesterday and DH and I are flying to Florida for the funeral. We are leaving early Fri morning and coming back early sun. morning. My MIL will be watching Bella for the time.

What should I pack/bring for Bella- exersaucer, bouncy, etc. to entertain her? She is 4 months old. My MIL has a pack n play and nothing else. I know the basics- formula, diapers etc.

My MIL is also planning on bringing her to work with her on Fri and Sat. I'm not too happy about this. They have their own jewlery store and are very busy. My MIL could easily stay home from work while Bella is there with them. She has stayed home for a lot less. I feel they are taking her in to "show her off" to their regular customers. I do not want her passed around or handled. Also, what is she going to do there all day?

Sorry for the rant that went along with this question. I feel so frazzled and pressed for time. There is so much to do before we go.

I would add many many changes of clothes.

As for the customers, that's exactly why she wants to bring her there. She's 4 months old so I wouldn't worry about it too much. Tell your MIL that you're concerned about her getting sick & being passed around. I doubt she's going to risk it. You can give her the scary stories of a baby catching some disease from people to drive your point home.

eta. I would opt for exersaucer over bouncy seat if you have too much going over there.

wht does she go in most during the day? Def. bring exicauser is she goes in that. Bring rattles and teethers. Does she have a favorite?

If your MIL has a pack & Play then she can sleep in that. MY DS sleeps in it no problem when we go away.

As far as her going to work maybe mention to her that you really don't want strangers holding her. Good Luck!

thanks ladies! I"m glad you see it too, my MIL issue.

I figured I'll bring:

formula
diapers
clothes
teething toys/rattles
portable swing
exersaucer
pacifiers

anything I"m missing?

I guess if they need something they can just come get it from our house.

It sounds like you have everything covered-does she have a favorite stuffed animal or lovey?
