ehhh I'm not a fan! and I'm SUCH a cupcake person.
IMO, they are more about doing crazy toppings. I found the actual cake part to not be very moist at all... and the frosting was super sugary and not as creamy as I like.

I agree. I HAD to have them, got one and it was.. kind of dry, overly sweet and just.. not that exciting.
I'm such a drip.

ITA!!! I thought that I was the only one. Everyone raves about them, I had crumbs 2 times and both times I thought they were dry and to sweet too.
I prefer buttercup bakeshop in the city for cupcakes

Re: OK! so where does a girl have to go to try a Crumb cupcake
there is one on broadway now too by Macy's.
Maybe it is just because they are a bright spot on looong hours at the office that make them hold a place in my heart ....... but I love them.
Try the red velvet whoopie pies too they are good!!!!
ETA I think you can have them shipped to you now as well go on the website.

I agree to a point. I did have one from there that was very dry, but the others one I've had were good. No better or worse than other places or than what I make at home though.

Except you pay a premium. If I'm gonna drop that kind of cash on a baked good that I COULD get somewhere else, or make at home - it had better be fabulous!!
I do agree though that it is likely hit or miss, I did have at least one good experience with them AND they make really impressive gifts! People LOVE getting them!

Dylans candy bar in Roosevelt field sells them now! The selection isn't as good as the store but they have a decent amount to choosw from.
