sausage dinner recipes
I took out a ring of Italian or cheese & parsley sausage and looking for something different but easy to make. Anyone have any recipes, please no sausage & peppers or sausage w/pasta recipes, those are what I usually make.
TIA!

Re: sausage dinner recipes
I like to put it in the oven with potatoes and onions, seasoned with garlic powder, salt, pepper and paprika and then bake at 375-400 until potatoes are crispy and the onions are carmelized.

Well this involves shrimp also but it is one of DH's fav's I'm making it tonite. I
I sub heavy cream for fat free half and half and use turkey sausage, ww pasta (or dream fields) to make it healthier.

Re: sausage dinner recipes
How many people are you cooking it for? I will use about 4-5 medium sized potatoes (I love potatoes, lol), one onion cut in half and then sliced thinly.
Here's how I do it:
Cut potatoes in bit size pieces, slice the onion. On a baking sheet I spread the potato, onions, season with s&p, garlic powder and paprika. Drizzle with olive oil. I cut up the sausage in pieces and place it all on top of the potatoes/onions and then bake for about 40-45 minutes on 400. I usually micro the potatoes to get them soft (and it helps pick up the seasonings when they're hot) before baking because the sausage does not take that long to cook.

Re: sausage dinner recipes
Sorry about that! Microwave the potatoes, if you cut them up in quarters and if they're still kinda big cut the quarters in half and I would microwave them for about 5 minutes before adding to the baking sheet and the rest of the ingredients.

Re: sausage dinner recipes
this is not pasta but a rice. Harry & David has the risotto mixes they are easy to prepart but time consuming. I usually cook one of those and throw the sausage in with it...
