Mine does have a timer, but it goes to 'warm" after the time is up.
I want to make something that takes approx. 6-7 hours, so if I start it around 730, it would turn off around 1-2pm.
I wont be home till 5ish tomorrow. Will it dry out on warm for all those hours???

Nope--the warm feature is a beautiful thing!! It stays fine like that for several hours.

My husband sets it up at 8:30 for 8 hours and we don't get home until 8:30-9. It has been fine.

I have this same issue, I leave the house around 715 and generally never get home before 645-7. 12 hours ok? I've done it before and I wasn't in love with the dish, not sure if it was because it cooked too long or the recipe just sucked...lol

I do it all time..I set it at 7-7:30 for 8-9 hours on low and then it switches to warm. We usually don't get home until 7:30-8 and it is usually still hot. If it's not as hot as I would like it, I just turn it back on while I'm making a side dish or a salad. Never had a problem.
