I was in macy's (sunrise mall) recently and they had so many long dresses on sale/clearance - you can definitely find something in budget, but it needs to be more formal that the dress you posted.

I think so - I wore that dress to a black tie wedding. Just wear fancy jewelry.
My wedding was black tie and somebody wore something very similiar to it.
Very comfy dress

Thanks to both of you for your opinions. My mom said no to the dress, so since she is guest of honor I am going to let her pick it and just make her happy. I still love the dress.
