Anyone do IUI at SIRM?
Hi,
I am about to do my first IUI at SIRM with Dr. T and wanted to know how often they monitor? Do they only do ultrasounds after stimming for a few days? Do they do an initial ultrasound when you go in for the initial blood test a the start of the IUI cycle? Thanks.

I go in between day 3 and 5 for the first initial blood test and sono. Then I go back 7 days later. They measure your lining and look at your follicle(s). Then I was told to start doing the ovulation kits and call when it turned positive. The IUI is then scheduled for the next day. For me the home kits didn't work. Last time when I was around ovulation, I went in everrrryyyy morning for blood work until my numbers were surging. This time we are talking about doing a trigger shot instead of daily blood test but that will be determined next Wed. Good luck!!!!

I'm about to do an IUI with donor sperm at SIRM. I just had my initial consult with Dr. Browne in Westchester, but she said we'd do it in the city b/c they'd be receiving the sperm. So, I can tell you what she told me, but I'm sure that wouldn't be any more detailed than what you already know. Good luck and I'd love to hear more details since I'll be following right behind you! Thanlk you!! I actually went in for my baseline u/s on Friday and was told that I do not have to come in until this coming Friday. They definitely do less monitoring than my previous facility. Good luck!!
