any new mommy's - looking to get back in shape?
my is 4 months old and its time that I do something about my weight. i need to get back in shape. i've been feeling awful about how I look and I can't feel this way any longer
where to begin?
we have a gym in our community center (we live in a condo) but finding the right time to go is the problem. I am already waking at 5-530 with and have to leave the house by 7 for work.
at night, its 8pm before i can even think about dinner or unwinding (after bathing, feeding, putting the baby down).
when do other mom's find time for the gym?
also, talk to me about healthy (easy) meals! this is a downfall of mine. i ended up eating pancakes at 930 last night. just one of those nights
LETS DO THIS MOMS!

I am right there with you!!! My diet is okay but it is so incredibly hard to find time to exercise. But I am at my limit now - I really need to do this for me. I NEED to workout, it is not an option. I don't feel sane without it
I am still clueless about when to do this during the week with work, nursing and pumping. This weekend I am going to go back to my gym. At the very least I am going to aim for Saturday and Sunday and one week day. My problem is that I don't want to sacrifice my DS but I figure at least on the weekend I get to see him all day.
We like to cook a lot so that there is enough for a few days worth. We keep things simple. It's usually grilled meat and a side (brown rice with veggies, couscous, quinoa or potato). We also make big batches of chili quite often. The crockpot really helps too!

I workout in the early AM before work; it doesn't sound like too much of an option for you though with your early start for work. Do you have any help with the baby that could just get you out for 30-60 minutes a few days a week? What about walking with the baby or jogging with a jogging stroller?
For meals, I do a lot of cooking on the weekends, freeze meals and then pop them out as needed. I make marinated chicken cutlets, cook them and freeze them in portion sized baggies. I also make turkey taco meat and then make soft taco's during the week. Veggie lasagna freezes great and can also be made into portion sizes for freezing. Fresh made soups freeze well too! Can you tell that the freezer is my best friend? I will eat crap if that's all there is so I have to plan ahead or I am in trouble. The other day I didn't have anything out for dinner, it got late and I ended up eating chips & salsa for dinner---bad!
