Wedding attire dilemma
Going to a wedding reception that starts at 2pm. What to wear?
I have 2 dresses both come just above the knee. I wouldn't wear a long dress to a daytime wedding.
One is a sapphire blue satin like, tank dress that looks like subtle triangular sections sewn together. Great color for me and shows every curve and hides every flaw. It's the dressier of the two and I'm thinking maybe too formal. It's not over the top but maybe a bit much for a daytime wedding.
The other has an empire waist which also works well for me. Below the waist is black above is a white background silky material with a simple purple grey and black flora pattern. The dress is 80% plain black. It has a beautiful high pleated neckline that suits me well. Is black a no no for a daytime wedding?
Sorry I have no photos to post.

Re: Wedding attire dilemma
I would wear whichever one you are more comfortable in. I would go with the sapphire blue satin one. From the weddings I have been to, some daytime weddings are more formal then the night weddings.

Re: Wedding attire dilemma
agreed; the blue sapphire sounds fine. I've seen some very dressy ensembles at daytime affairs.
