Acupuncture
New to the site. All of your posts are exciting, interesting, informative! I am curious how many women have used acupuncture to help kick start the process. I have had several failed IUI and about to have my first acupuncture visit this weekend. Jamie

Re: Acupuncture
I went during my first IVF and FET. I don't know what to think about it. I stopped going once I changed RE's and also it got really expensive. I really did not like the acupunturist either, she seemed like a nut and kept pushing herbs and crap on me.

Re: Acupuncture
I've seen 4 difference docs..I liked 2 out of 4..the one I am currently seeing I think I really like.
It really helps me focus on me...that is the biggest thing I notice.

Re: Acupuncture
I was going for a while. So far all its done for me is help me relax. On the morning of IVF#3 transfer my DH's truck broke down on his way back to the house. And I had just gotten "the call" with our time and we needed to leave right then. Normally I would have freaked out on him. but, I just got back from acupuncture and I was calm and handled it very differently from what I normally would have done. I didn't even freak out. At all. I called the RE office and they said don't worry we wont start without you And he got it fixed and all was good.
Last transfer I was such a wreck that I hope I can go the morning of next one.
I have a friend who has b/g twins via her 5th IUI and she swears that was the difference for her.

Re: Acupuncture
Just had my first appointment today. Had a great experience. He took time to explain how it works, why it works, gave me research articles confirming everything he said. I feel great about it - and it didnt hurt! Seems like it is a huge help - he had tons of baby pictures and thank you cards too!

Re: Acupuncture
i have been doing acupuncture for 4 months. i havent gotten pregnant yet during those 4 months. im starting my first IVF cycle and i plan to continue the acupuncture. i chose other because so far it hasnt done anything, but my RE's office specifically asked if i was doing it during IVF. when i said yes they said it helps with both relaxation and blood flow. so far ive only had it help with relaxation, but i do love it for that!! so i guess we will see if i have any results in a month or so

Re: Acupuncture
I have been doing it for over a year maybe longer. I love it. I totally feel more relaxed and calmer. I have a friend who does it and she talks way to much during it but she is a great friend and cheaper then others. She deals with alot of fertility patients and many of them have gotten pregnant. I wish my husband would do it but he hates needles. It hurts at times when she puts some near my feet and ankles but for the most part it is painless. I totally recommend it.
