Shoe repair?
I ripped the leather on the covered heel of a pair of my shoes last year:
I had DH stop by B. Nelson (apparently VIP Shoe Repair now) in NYC to see if they could repair them, but they didn't have a similar leather. I figured if anybody could do it, they would be the one.
Have any of you girls used a cobbler/business on LI or NYC that handled higher end/designer shoes? Any recs? I'd like to see if any other shoe repair businesses can help me, maybe have a leather that's a bit more similar than what VIP/B Nelson had.

Re: Shoe repair?
There is a shoe repair place on the concourse level of Rock Center (they also do shoe shines there) and they have done wonders with some of my designer shoes.

No, but he's on my list to visit this weekend, along with the cobbler across from Waldbaums in the village.

I contacted SW directly and they told me to contact the retailer where I purchased the shoes from. I guess you're right...it wouldn't hurt to contact one of the NYC stores to see if they have any ideas or recs.

I dropped the shoes off with him this past Friday. He's going to glue the leather, but I figured "what the hell...let me see how it looks" before I go about replacing the leather on both the heels.
He kind of reminds me of a Keebler Elf...hiding behind piles of shoes. (No shortage of shoe work for him, which is a good sign!!! )
